What's up guys! Sorry for the long absence but it's been quite hectic these past few months, life got in the way as they say but... hopefully; things we'll get back on track soon enough. If you recall on one of my latest blog posts I explained why production on my creator owned book Project: New Wave basically stopped and how I felt like quitting comic book art altogether but there's just no quit in me, with that said; Project: New Wave will return... I promise!
Now the main reason why I stopped production was because my colorist bailed on me for no good reason other than being unprofessional so... I decided to do all the artwork myself and change the format. Instead of publishing "floppy" comic books that I'd have to sell at $4-$5 bucks a piece just to brake even if Im lucky and I'd have to compete against Marvel and DC amongst others, I decided t boring Project: New Wave to life in comic strip format; much like the Sunday Comic Strips we all love so much. I'll be uploading a comic strip daily exclusively at: www.truthfulcomics.com for the foreseeable future and I'll be putting out trade paperbacks once there are enough strips published on the site. Every strip will be done in full color and all the artwork will be done by yours truly, I've not yet determined if the trade paperbacks will be in full color, grayscale or black and white; I guess I'll decide once the time comes to actually print the books. Stay tuned for more info.
Another reason why production on all my projects stopped is because we're moving at the end of February and we're packing so, since we live in an aptarment; the only place we could start packing these boxes and be able to live a somewhat normal life was my office. It was a hard choice for me but it is what it is, the good thing is that once we move it'll be smooth sailing for years to come; hopefully. So don't think I went away for good, I was just down on my luck; but I can't quit you guys! I'll leave you for now with the words of the great Rocky Balboa...
"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It's a very mean and nasty place and I don't care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't about how hard you hit. It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done! Now if you know what you're worth then go out and get what you're worth. But ya gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain't where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that and that ain't you! You're better than that!"
Well, until next time guys and remember now more than ever; stay Truthful!
